There is no better time than now to support musicians on the Gold Coast. Most of us listen to music every day, lets give back to those who bring us joy through the sounds of talented local artists. Some of the artists up for awards have played at the Burleigh Taphouse and at some of our events. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of this amazing recognition of local talent.

We live our passion every day and we love supporting others who do the same. This year, we’ve stepped up our support for the local music scene and partnered with the Gold Coast Music awards!

By voting you will go into the draw to win a VIP package for the 2022 Gold Coast Music Awards including 2 x VIP tickets to the awards, 1 x $200 food and beverage voucher from QR Gold Coast and a Burleigh Brewing $200 gift pack.

The Burleigh Brewing People’s Choice award is open to all finalists. Over the years the award has been won by a thoroughly diverse group of local artists and we can’t wait to see who will receive the title this year. The winner will receive a unique trophy, titled ‘Space Odditiy No. 1’ that was crafted by local artist John Anthony Forno and commissioned by SWELL Sculpture Festival. John recently told Blank Magazine his inspiration for the special trophy was derived from some of his favourite artists.

“Music and art go hand in hand and both have such profound effects on my mental, physical and spiritual well being from the lyrics I identify with from my favourite artist to the resonance between my artwork and song titles, music plays an integral role in my life. Aside from the chill up the spine, certain music ignites nostalgia and has an uncanny ability to propel me back to my past, to my childhood and while not always smooth sailing music like Bowie’s Space Oddity and Elton John’s Rocketman transport me to simpler times.”

BLEACH* has always championed investment in new work, and this year is no different. They are proud to support the creation of 14 new works which will premiere as part of the Festival. Making new work is simultaneously thrilling and risky and we hope you join in for the ride.

The program is always action packed and inspiring, this year they’re stepping it up a notch.

Radial at the Burleigh Taphouse

Join us on Friday 19th August at 6pm for the screening of RADIAL at the Burleigh Taphouse.

A playful merging of video art, dance, music and fashion, RADIAL features the electronic wizardry of Tralala Blip and acrobatic aerial performances by Lauren Watson and Tara Sales. Join us to watch this world-class company in action and celebrate the diversity of humankind.

Burleigh Brewing has had the privilege of brewing the Burleigh Dunkel for Oktoberfest Brisbane for the last 10 years. This year, we are the exclusive Bier provider for the festival! Oktoberfest Brisbane is all about authenticity and Brewmaster Brennan is no stranger to Reinheitsgebot (that’s the Bavarian Bier Purity Law!) or German brewing, having originally started his career in a German brewery.

As the exclusive bier partner, we’ll be brewing three traditional German Biers 🍻

With the addition of a Helles & Weissbier, our brew team is stoked to once again bring back our beloved Oktoberfest Dunkel – which is brewed with yeast sourced from a 600 year old German Monastery, hops from the Hallertau Region and malt from the Bramberg area.

With our third annual Burleigh Keg Jump event on the horizon, we thought it was only suitable to team up with our good friends from Precinct Skate Shop for a collaboration that represents the life we live here on the Gold Coast… it’s a pretty good one 🍻🛹

Our Graphic Designer & Precinct Team Rider, Indiana Russell is the mastermind designer behind the anaglyph 3D label for Burleigh Grip N Sip, a 500ml limited edition tall bottle of the beloved Burleigh Mid-Tide. Check out Indi (skating) in the clip above!

The Stitch Up 2.0 Party

When SurfStitch makes the call for a party – you bet we’ll rock up with a little more than an esky full of cold craft beer! Last November saw the return of the famous Stitch Up event, where we acted as a major drinks partner along with our other local pals, Mr. Consistent.
